The support for #BlackInnocence has been overwhelming. I thank all of you very much. But please don’t forget, this project is not about likes or RT’s, it’s not for popularity, let this project have real meaning to you.

Mental & physical image issues mislead people everyday. Think about the black child who’s mental image of African Americans is something “ratchet” or ignorant… They won’t have respect for AFAM’s, they probably won’t truly respect themselves either. Adults are included too, we’re led & misled by images just like kids are… An image is more than a picture or just something you see. Images spark thoughts & beliefs. Take care of you and your people’s image. Uplift.

Today, I spent a few hours setting up Black Innocence for Saturday. I’m at the point where I’m getting excited & nervous at the same time… | Also, the Black Innocence exhibit is for everyone… every culture, every race, every class… At the end of the day; we all live on the same earth & we all have an influence on each other; directly or indirectly.

02. 05. 2013… The grand opening of the newest Cameron Mitchell restaurant, The Pearl.  I went into this evening with a completely open mind, I didn’t have too many expectations or preconceived  notions of the restaurant.  Although, I knew it had to be half-way decent since it’s a Cameron Mitchell restaurant.  All day; I toggled back and forth with going or not going, and of course I was very hungry after work, with not much better to do, so I said to myself; “why not”. Like it, do it.
The ambiance was nice, kind of cozy and rugged at the same time, an interesting mix.  The waitress had to return three times before I could decide what to order.  I took the easy way out and went with something I knew I would like, the Dressed Colossal Blue Crab.  It was pretty delicious, they may have exaggerated a bit with the word “colossal” in the title, but it’s all good.  I enjoyed my meal. The next time I go back; I’m going to try their oysters.
